Amazing Woman’s dreams were nightmares. She constantly foundherself in graveyards. The first gravestone she laid eyes on was that of herparents. Then next to it she saw the gravestone of her her sister Jasmine, nottoo far away was her former lover Brett Jenkin, and then for Jason Lance whoshe still has mixed emotions about.
Then the dream changed to the streets of Metro City, where arampage of crime reigned supreme. Innocent people were being victimizedeverywhere. Everywhere she looked the acts of vandalism, theft, rape, andmurder were being committed. She wanted to leap out attack the criminals asAmazing Woman, but Martha had no power of control in the dream, she could onlywatch.
Then on a rooftop, she saw something that really made herbleed, it looked like something right out of the Bible, bodies of her allies nailedto wooden crosses. Crows pecked on and slowly devoured the brutalized remainsof Captain Justice, the Pink Maiden and her friend Black Tiger
Commissioner Mary Langstrom appeared next walking straightup to her, “They’re dead because of you, Metro City has fallen because of you. Thisis your all fault Amazing Woman!”
Wonderboy suddenly swooped in a grappling rope and said, “Youtried your best Amazing Woman, but deep down you always knew you would fail. Youonly succeeded in killing all those cared for you. Don’t worry I’ll save MetroCity, I’m a much better hero than you.”
Martha then found herself back in the graveyard as itstarted to rain, standing before an open grave. Hers.
Suddenly a hand slapped against her shoulder and Martha saw CountessRei Dante standing next to her.
“Goodnight Amazing Woman,” Reisaid as she pushed Martha into the grave. The black heroine landed flat on her backand saw truckloads of dirt pile on top of her.

Martha awoke with a scream toherself chained to a bed. Her body was in a rigid x, her wrists and ankles werebound to the bedposts of rather plush bed. Her costume was still on, but her utilitybelt, gloves and boots had been removed. Standing over her were two people, awell dressed eldardly butler and a beautiful young blonde French maid.
“Where.. where am I,” asked theheroine still sweating from the fever pitched dream.
“You are at Dante Manor,” said the butler. “You’ve been asleep for alittle over 48 hours.”
“Dante? As in Countess Rei Dante?!” Martha demanded.
“Countess Rei has escaped her prison,” Vincent said sadly. “Your recentstruggles are all part of a masterplan to destroy you as payback. Rei spentyears brainwashing her daughter SuSu and conditioning her for years for the daythat she take her place as the Countess.”
“Rei had a daughter,” asked Martha.
“Yes,” said Vincent. “And Rei has many enemies, in fact she even deviseda failsafe plan for the event of her demise. When SuSu was told that her motherwas killed in a car crash a year ago she immediately suspected foul play, thather mother was murdered. This triggered a hypnotic command in SuSu’s mind to driveherself to become as ruthless as her mother and avenge her no matter what.”
“Vincent and I are SuSu’s closest friends, we noticed the changesimmediately once we arrived in Japan,” Suzette explained. “We knew immediatelyRei was behind this, the woman was a control freak and a horrible mother. SuSuis an angel and she’s not the monster she’s become. We played along in helpingher scheme, only with intent of waiting for the right moment to reverse what’sbeen done.”
