Just as the Avengers were bundling up Wasp's children as she regained the strength to stand, the mansion was rocked by an explosion from its east wing, casuing windows to shatter and the walls to shake.
"Dammit, they're here already."
"Get the kids and run for the Quinn Jet, if we're lucky..." Ant Man never had a chance to finish his sentense as the group of abominations were struck with a wave of sonic pressure that brought them to their knees, Wasp's children were crying out loud from
the new sensation of paralysis. The wall and roof to Carol's room was torn off from an unseen force as several figures floated down from a hover craft.
"Well well well, looks like songbird caught us a nasty horde of green freaks." Tsk'd Moonstone as she floated over the paralyzed heroes, along with Radiation Man and Pennance. Song Bird walked in through the broken door with Bullseye and Venom, towing a
bound abomination of their own.
"We found this... Thing cornered up in a cell down in the lower levels, the research charts said it used to be a mouse." Laughed Song Bird as she kept up her sonic paralysis on the Avengers.
Floating lower to look at the thing, Moonstone scoffed as it looked around with wide black eyes, its ears flicking as it stood there with its hands tied with Venom's webbing. "Looks rather pathetic even for a 9 foot tall bruiser... I know how we can fix
that."
With a focused blast of her gravity manipulating powers Moonstone crushed the monster's brains from the inside out, black blood oozing out of its nose as it slumped down dead on the floor. The Avengers struggled as hard as they could in response, trying
to fight the will to stand and fight as Song Bird kept them down.
"YOU BITCH!" Roared Wasp as she struggled to get to her feet and fight off the dizzying nausia being generated by the pink haired woman.
"When I get up you are going to be in a world of hurt you witch!" Snarled Black Widow trying to stand but falling back to the ground as her vertigo worsened.
"What?... I saw a creature suffering and in pain, and I put it out of its misery." Smiled the blonde woman floating over the Avengers as the rest of the Thunder Bolts stood around them. "And wouldn't you know it? I see twnety more little freaks of nature
suffering on the floor right now... I guess I have no choice."
"My favorite kind of mercy." Hissed Venom with a twisted drooling grin as Moonstone raised a hand towards the team and clentched her fingers in a crushing motion.
Unseen by both the Thunder Bolts and Avengers, Sprinkle's body began to convulse. Twitching as something inside began to react. An eruption of green vapour burst out of the dead creature's mouth filling the space of the room with thick mist that made everyone
cough and gag.
Bullseye waved the fog clear to get a better sight but only made the mist spread further as it made the room fill with coughing and wheezing. "What the fuck is this stuff?"
