Anyone that knew all the elements of Mary Jane's life might have thought her worst nightmare to live out would be to turn her back on Peter, or betray him to his enemies like a cruel vixen, or join the ranks of evil as a villain herself and use Peter's
feelings for her against him. But as it turned out, that was not her worst nightmare. Not even Mary Jane knew what would count as the most terrible circumstance she could live out until it happened. When it did, it hit much closer to home than she could have
possibly imagined.
This was how she found herself standing in the huge, spacious convention center in her Spiderman shirt. And Spiderman pajama pants. And Spiderman socks. And shoes. And earrings. And backpack. AND BRA AND PANTIES. Every inch of her body was covered in the Spiderman
logo and colors, making her look like the most obsessive Spiderman fangirl anyone could set their eyes upon.
Which she was. She clasped her Spiderman belt buckle with fingers covered in Spiderman toy rings as her stomach went queasy with disgust, joy and arousal. Any second now, the camera would light up, the interviewer would raise a microphone to her face, and just
like that, they'd put her name and face on the evening news with a byline calling her exactly what she looked like: a Spiderman fangirl.
She wanted to scream, but she didn't know whether it should be a scream of horror or crazed obsession. Part of her couldn't wait to destroy her image as a sophisticated actress and model, replacing it with one of a grown woman that acted like a teenage girl.
Another part of her felt sick just thinking of what it meant for her career, and how pathetic and stalker-like this behavior would make her look any time she got near the man she now gushed over with immature abandon.
Standing under a wide banner for the latest Spiderman convention, she gave into the fangirl urges consuming her and smiled into the camera.
