As the Shadow-Queen formerly known as Katherine Pryde phased through the wall and turned a corner, not yet assuming a more human form due to her personal preference for her natural Brood form she ran face to face, across the hall from, Wolverine.
"I knew I smelled Sleazoid," he said as he popped his claws. Still, in this form the overwhelming alien smell and sense of evil he felt off of this creature prevented him from recognizing who it was.
True to her nature, the Shadow-Queen hissed at Wolverine and skittered back down the hall and away from him as quickly as she could.
"Come back here!" Wolverine cried out as he gave chase, having no idea that the Shadow-Queen was leading him in to a trap.

Back in his room, Colossus' mind raged. The Brood wanted out, and Colossus' shock at Kitty's transformation had not proved a sufficient distraction. Still, it could take a play from her playbook.
On his metal frame, the paralyzing poison would likely have no effect. It took an immense amount of effort to transform flesh back to steel. But as he did so he felt all the blood in his body head for one particular organ. It was now like a steel rod between
his legs, literally.
The Brood Queen would encourage Colossus to literally fuck his own humanity out. He knew Kitty wasn't an option, and he knew he needed to warn everyone.
But who should he warn first? As he found himself thinking about Lilandra. The avian-woman was Professor Xavier's lover and a Queen in her own right. With Storm gone (Colossus not knowing about her return) the Brood was able to convince him that he should
see her with this important information.
Of course on the way there, he couldn't get soft as he imagined riding her like a bull.
