Wasp watched from above as the X-Men fought their way through her brood.
"So they think they have a cure, do they?" she sneered. "Fools. As if I didn't anticipate that!"
While the heroes had been marshaling their forces, the Wasp herself had been doing some more recruiting of her own. Some of the greatest geneticists who the Wasp had set to work creating a more powerful version of the various.
"You can't resist me," she hissed as she licked her lips.

Meanwhile, Spider-Man was hunting through another part of the monstrous hive. Unknown to him, certain beings had figured out how to mask themselves from his spider-senses....
On the ceiling above him, two monstrosities skittered on their eight limbs. Two of the more grotesque abominations, Spider-Beast and Black Widow had mutated further, adding multiple eyes and large dripping mandibles to their multiple limbs.
"Spider," Black Widow hissed.
She had acquired some of the mating habits of her namesake, as several males had discovered to their regret
