This was the ultimate game show to end all game shows... and the best part? The program was completely immune to meddling.
Giving a description of the forces at work to make this happen would be simply impossible, because they differ for each universe. Manipulations with a powerful gauntlet, a special equation, a clever play on hatred toward mutants or some other means, the ultimate
effect is that in a universe full of people that would normally hunt down and punish the creators of this type of game, they instead encouraged and cheered on the spectacle broadcast for their viewing.
And while most such game shows focused on only one goal, this one emphasized many. It ran the whole gamut of ploys: giving the contestants physical challenges, quizzing them on various topics, sending them off to live on an island, forcing them to take on menial
jobs, anything and everything was possible if it fit the genre of game show and reality TV.
And what did the contestants earn for their troubles? Fame, money and perhaps a few enhancements if they were among the lucky winners... or embarrassment and not-so-pleasant changes to their minds, powers or bodies if they weren't so lucky.
