Jeannette puffed on her cigarette as she thought. No matter the changes she had gone through, she still considered Ororo her best friend, a glorious, regal figure who deserved to revel in her power and beauty. And the Penguin knew the best way to do it....

Storm sat in meditation, trying to relax, trying to forget the vain and obese squawking woman that Jean had become. Poor Jean, poor Jean. What had happened to her old friend? Would the old Jean ever be back?

Who had done this? Transformed her like that? Broken open her shell and pulled something new.... Turned Jean into Jeanette. Storm ran a hand through her hair, now red as autumn, her former blue eyes were green as leaves, while her skin had darkened a little to be black as soil. It was strange but so beautiful. She didn't feel like Ororo Munro, Storm, any more, but like Ororo Isley, "Harvest."

"Mmmmm, how divine."

Emma Frost rubbed her body. She was itching, really itching. What was wrong?

She looked at her arm. She was scratching it so much that her skin was flaking off and underneath were white scales? Almost like an alligator's! Then she yelped in shock as a handful of her blonde hair came off in her hand. What was happening to her?

Meanwhile, the Invisible Woman was feeling a little peculiar....
