Grayza wanted, desired John Crichton. Not loved like that fool Sun who had stolen her command in the previous reality. But Crichton had gained the attentions of Mele-on. He had power when she met him as he was suppose to have wormhole technology in his head, enough to get Scorpius after him. He was intelligent, a great warrior, a leader of men, and more then just the man he appeared to be. He was wild and unpredictible, even when under her oil's aphrodisiac effect she could not break him completely as she had done with most people she had experience with. All people she had met before him had been weak and stupid, which had lead to her ability to use, control or destroy them. Crichton was the first who had been weak and stupid, in different ways, but managed to advance despite or even aided by his faults. Crichton was for all points and purposes a winner.
Winning and success was everything in the previous Peacekeeper culture. Grayza made sure that no matter what, she would win, she would succeed. Yet she had begun to lose since meeting Crichton, he won and she lost when it should be the other way around. Worse, those around him who survived tended to win as well. If Grayza could be said to love anything, it was power and more precisely victory. John Crichton seemed to be a man who was the Avatar of Victory, for even when losing his goal he merely change the definition of victory till he won.
This was the source of the attraction and obesession over John. However, to admit to this truth was to admit a kind of weakness. Which she could not do even in her mind, so she came up with other reasons to justify why she wanted him. The wielder of the Ring of Truth could not speak her own truth to herself.
'John Crichton is a power man, a leader, a warrior and a scientist. A great asset to have under me. Also his genetics are compatable to mine and have some interesting aspects which could improve my people's race.
There is still a chance he may contain the secrets of wormholes in him and merely is lying about not having it. Even if he is drained of the knowledge... I could change it with the right words.
Then there is revenge against Aeryn Sun, the woman who took what was mine and left me with nothing. To steal her husband, to take him from her, to get him to love me more then he ever loved her... would be the sweetest revenge I can take from our new Commandant. Other then taking the ch1ld she and John had and raising him in the manner of my choosing.' Grayza reflected on this as she tried to come up with a plan to make John hers. She would have to make new truths, on who and what would be the question.
