Like the young deer she was now named after, the Fawn scampered nimbly through the trees - her speed and agility now her only real weapon.. Her heart was pounding like a triphammer, and as she ran she weapt that she wasn't safe and secure inside a mans home. If only she had a husband to take her and master her girlish nature. A man to dominate her and make her his. She thought again of Scott, and Lola moaned in need. Scott Summers...Lola Summers...if only he could be induced to conquer her.

Lola knew this was wrong. Knew that she was a strong, brave man...but it was an academic knowledge. She knew she was a Wolverine...but she felt like a Fawn. She felt like the cowardly, foolish, girlish creature she now was. She felt like a child. She felt like she was a wife.

Well...almost. To be a proper, submissive wife...she'd need a husband. A big, strong husband.

Logan "Wolverine" Howlett...to Lola "Fawn" Howlett...the name changer simply made another little change.

Lola "Fawn" Summers - the 16 year old child bride of big, strong Scott Summers - danced lightly through the woods with a song in her heart and on her lips. Once again, she knew this wasn't her...but that knowing didn't changes the fact that she was now silly, childish Lola Summers - the meek, submissive bride of Scott...and she couldn't be happier. She danced and sang as she ran, her smile an outward sign of her inner bliss. She was Lola...she was the Fawn...she was a wife, and soon (oh, please make it soon) she'd be a mother as well. She desperatly wanted Scott to take her and put his seed inside her...to give her a baby. She looked down at her tiny, delicate hand...and saw a winking brightness. A diamond...set in a golden ring. Her ring. Her wedding ring.

She ran out of the trees and reached the little basecamp that Logan had set up. Here in the jungles of South America, Logan had been searching for drug runners...but now Lola could only think of one thing.

Lola flipped open the communicator that Logan had brought, and cried out for Scott Summers to rescue her.

Later

Scott looked at the tiny girl curled against his chest, facinated and even a little pleased. Gone was the troublesome Wolverine. In his place was the obedient little Fawn...a girl who claimed she was his wife. She was Lola the Fawn...a girl whose regenerative abilities were so powerful that she didn't age. 16 now and 16 forever. She was fast, nimble and had a sort of Danger Sense that allowed her to know when trouble was close by, but though she had small claws (like long finger nails) she wasn't much in a fight. Instead she was passive support. An obedient follower. A meek and submissive creature...who had leapt into his arms and burst into giggles and tears at the same time. She was his, and she needed him to protect her. He'd carried her into the waiting blackbird and he'd set the plane for auto return. She'd been all over him since then, and though Scott knew this must be Logan...he'd found it pleasing to let her serve him. She scampered at his command, fetching drinks and food like a good wife, and when he questioned her, she blushed and bowed her head as she confessed that she had been Logan, but that as Lola she wanted only to serve him...in every way.

By the time they'd landed back home, Scott had allowed Lola to pleasure him three times...and had decided that though he did indeed want to get to the bottom of the mystery...he'd keep Lola just as she was. Lola for her part was very pleased to go along with him. The X-Men were full of questions about her, and a few even guessed who she was (Kitty and Emma for example) but went along with Scotts plan to keep everyone else in the dark.

"After all...we don't want poor Logan to be humiliated when he gets back to normal, now do we? We need to go along with this for the time being. Don't let on who she is. Let everyone else think she's a new mutant...a new member of the team. She's the Fawn. Okay?"

Emma wasn't pleased with this directive, but agreed. Kitty even told Scott how proud she was of him. "It must be so hard to pretend that she isn't Logan. You're a really good friend, Scott. Keeping Logans identity a secret while he's stuck like that."

Scott thanked Kitty...then led Lola back to his rooms, where she thanked him again and again.

As the days passed, Lola fit right in with the rest of the team. Scott told Emma and Kitty that he was doing all he could to find out what had happened to Logan, but Emma knew...that Scott and Lola were spending their nights (and much of the day) in bed.
