Five straightened up from the lab table where he'd been working for the last few hours. Though his conscious thought processes were dulled by the Hatter's chip imbedded in the back of his neck, his expertise in the sciences was unimpaired. That said, Doctor Connor's formula required a good deal of tinkering...the formula had originally been intended to amplify reptilian regenerative properties...which your average cat did not have any of. And there were the psychoactive chemicals that mentally changed him from a raging monster into the servile Bill the Lizard. Still, failing the Mistress was unthinkable...so he managed it somehow, even if he couldn't articulate any more HOW he'd done it.
He walked clumsily over to Rabbit (it was hard getting the hang of a body that was now nearly 4 feet wide!) and knelt, offering her a syringe filled with a purple and yellow glowing fluid. "Here ya go, Mistress Rabbit! It'll do just what you want it too...please don't punish me!"
The villainous vixen, who'd been occupied with Cheshire and Alice sitting in her lap, grinned. "That will do Five, that will do. And just to show you your Mistress can be generous....Cheshire Cat?"
Grinning, she slinked out of the Rabbit's grasp and sashayed sexily over to her former husband, going behind him. She rubbed his back and purred while manipulating the controls for his costume. It began to morph, the 4 becoming a 5 and turning with with an array of red diamonds on it.
He had a suit now! If he'd still been a hero he'd have been horrified but now being given a definite rank in the deck gave him a real identity...and that sent a surge of orgasmic satisfaction through his dulled mind. "Thank you Mistress! I'm not worthy...."
"I know you aren't," she snapped cruelly, "but I did it anyway. After we see if your formula works on Cheshire Cat, you'll make another one that turns people into playing cards like you!"
"Yes Mistress!"
"And now my cute little Chesire Kitty, kneel before me." She smirked at the feline villainess did so then nodded to 5. "Wait for it...." She hooked the tip of her umbrella under the band of Sue's cat ears and flicked them off of her...along with the mind control device.
Susan gasped in shock as if being doused with cold water. She looked around in confusion and saw Reed in some outlandish card costume....
"NOW FIVE!" Obediently, he stabbed his wife with the needle and injected her with the formula. The last thing she saw was his emotionless dull eyed face as she sank into unconciousness, White Rabbit's mocking laughter ringing in her ears....
