She came in view, it was Black Cat in a new costume. All black but with cutout so her skin made it look like cat eyes. He then spoke to her, "Cat, you have to untie me before..."
She slapped his face, hard as she said, "Shut up."
It was then he figured out she was the one to kidnap him, and given what happened he had an answer, "Cat, whatever you think I did, it wasn't me. Doc Ock had control of my body till just recently. The best I could do was control a hand for a few minutes at best and..."
She slapped him again and continued, "I don't care. Whoever it was, they destroyed my life. Took away my life, my property, my freedom when they put me in jail. And you're the one who is going to pay. I hated you so much, I wanted to take everything away from you. Your friends, your family, your life."
The previous words had been harsh and venomous, but then next were bittersweet and slighty tender, "But part of my still loves you. Still wants you and wants you to love me.
So I split the difference. I was going to steal you."
"So that's with all the ropes and such here. Mission accomplished, so you can let me go." said Peter hoping he wouldn't be slapped again.
Cat started to laugh as she moved out view, "Not exactly. Ironically, it's something similar to what Doc Ock did to you. He stole your body and with it stole your life. I am going to steal your mind, and get your life from there. Changing and molding your thoughts till you are completely loyal to me, love me and will do anything to please me. Even get you to design a new identity to be my criminal partner. And yes, criminal since I have learned in prison that anything and everything belongs to those who can take and hold it. As you will learn soon enough."
She then continued, "You will be surprised what you can get in the supervillain black market. All of those mad scientists and evil geniuses.... access to other times and other dimensions. Anything can be yours if you have the right amount of money or willing to make a deal.
