You wish to steal Susan's soul now in the hopes that Reed will destroy this building when I neither release his wife nor have her at my side to divert his attack!"
While Mephisto snarled at Fisk, the crime lord turned to the heroine "Susan, I offer no lies nor apology for my actions. I saw an opportunity and took advantage; there is no denying it nor would I insult your intelligence by trying. You knew the type of people you were dealing with when you started stripping at my club all those months ago so I will not play the repentant sinner and offer false apologies or weak platitudes. What I will do that our satanic friend will not is level with you. The power has now shifted and rests with you. The Hell Lord *can not* take you until you *choose* to go with him. Susan snapped her head back to the Lord of Lies as an unearthly growl filled the room. It took a lot to shake a woman that had faced Galactus himself, but the demon's rage was horrifying. Mephisto grew larger and more terrifying as he snarled "Insolent swine! You dare to cross ME? I am a LORD of HELL itself! Creation bends at MY will! I will roast your pitiful soul for all ETERNITY!"
Much to Mephisto's surprise and ire, Kingpin laughed in the towering devil's face "Oh, I think not, Mephisto. In your realm I'm sure you would be right, but we are on Earth now and here you have rules. One rule is that you have to abide by the deals you made and I have not released you of ours."
Now it was the Hell Lord's turn to laugh "Oh, silly stupid mortal... What makes you think that? Even better, if I were held by such tenuous bonds, what makes you think a pitiful *mortal* could possibly hold me to *any* rule?"
Fisk smiled wickedly as he replied "The same thing that tells me that every penny Reed took will eventually be refunded with interest. You see, oh great and mighty Hell Lord, a true man of power... A true leader knows what to do himself, what to delegate, and when to call in a consultant!" Suddenly the room was filled with a blinding flash and a whooshing noise as if a hurricane wind blasted through the door. As Mephisto looked on in shock and confusion, Kingpin continued "Please meet my consultant in matters occult; your fellow Hell Lord, Damian Hellstorm!" Hellstorm smiled evilly back at his peer and gripped his trident tightly. Even Mephisto would think twice provoking this creature as here on earth Hellstorm commanded nearly as much power as he did in his own realm.
