The Avengers were too arrogant to believe they had actually taken him . The Norman Osborn with the powers of the Super-Adaptoid, recently returned to prison by Luke Cage's team, was a mere pawn,  to divert attention. Now, SHIELD believes HAMMER is dismantled, while the organization is stronger than ever and even control HYDRA and AIM. 

This new situation let to Norman Osborn the opporunity to do as he want,in the shadows, with the goal to ruin the reputation of these do-gooders, once and for all.

Captain America's change and the steamy scene with the thug, seen by the former Green Goblin through his hidden cameras in all New York, gave him the idea to embarrass not only the veteran of World War II, but also the whole team.

Although, Norman Osborn hesitated. He wanted to show this ... woman he was free...

- I could teach her much more than this young idiot, he thought. She reminds me of my late wife and even ...this silly young Gwen Stacy. Not only it would be a great pleasure to make her  my wife, but our children could be the world's most powerful ...

- One does not exclude the other, he said. But first humiliation. And he contacted several supervillains.

Actually, this plan is very simple. First of all :  make believe in a simple bank robbery with great damages. Big guys like Sandman, Rhino, Absorbing Man, Titania and the Wrecking Crew will do this part.

Once the alert is given, The unsuspecting Avengers will charge on this gang. Good pick for Osborn,

Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, Spider-Man, Luke Cage, Ms. Marvel and She Hulk arrives on scene.

Now,they have to believe that criminals flee. They must go to an abandoned factory in North Manhattan. Titania and Sandman allow to be  stopped, to put the Avengers in confidence. The others can engage in combat with the superheroes once they arrive on site.

The plan is being performed wonderfully. Even if there was any doubt about a possible trap, the Avengers fell in. During the fight, Captain America proves her legendary prowess and even manages to stun the Absorbing Man. But no one suspected the presence of three other supervillains, hidden on site : Letha,Lascivious and Corruptor. Three twisted and vicious mind controllers. 

And throughout the battle, they began to act: Lascivious implanted erotic feelings for Captain America in all Avengers in fight. Even for the women, she inspired carnal and lesbian lust , so they could go along.
