“Let me grab my things,” Daphne chirped.
“Like we’ll be hiding,” Shaggy whispered as he scurried
off.
“I got a spare bag in the van,” Velma shrugged.
“I packed the van,” Fred smiled.
“I will be right back!” Daphne rushed out of the building.
Daphne quickly looked at the path back to her house. She
mapped her moves as she ran, plotting her running climb up the back of her
house to her open bedroom window. The
Master PC was working as she effortlessly made her way up to her bedroom window
like an action film stunt double on wires.
Daphne wasn’t even breathing hard as she slid in feet first into her
bedroom. Rushing to her closet, she
pulled a bag and stuffed in riding boots, stretch leather leggings, pink blouse
and purple leather jacket. An impulse
pushed Daphne to look around for possible weapons. The Spy talents from Black Widow identified many
possible things that could work in a pinch, but no real weapons. A grin crossed her face as she thought of her
older sisters’ baton. Daphne snuck into
her sister’s room and stole the baton.
“Mom,” Daphne said as she made her way down stairs, “I am
going out for the weekend with my friends.”
“Don’t get that poor Roger’s boy in trouble,” Mrs. Blake
called loudly then quietly said to her husband, “She is going to hang out with
that Jones boy again… he isn’t right. At
least the Dinkley girl isn’t a queer.”
Daphne ran over everything in her head there was certainly
the hints, but she would bring Fred up in her computer and play around with him
latter. A smile crossed her lips as she
thought about what else she could do to and with her friends… Velma could use
some upgrades, Shaggy might do well with a heavy dose of Winter Soldier…
“Got your stuff?” Velma asked from the Mystery Machine.
“Just let me get my laptop,” Daphne smiled.
She rushed up grabbed the computer, the charger and
adapter to hook it up to the van and the bag for it.
