When the powerful effects of the Happy Gas finally dissipated the first site to greet Victoria Hand was the face of Norman Osborne.
Inches from her own and staring straight at her. His mouth stretched into a predatory shark like grin and his eyes burning with fiery madness.
On reflex she attempted to lash out with one quick blow to the neck to incapacitate the sometimes Green Goblin.
But she couldn’t. Her hands were bound at the wrists and so were her ankles.
There was another restraint pulled tight across her chest and upper torso.
Something around her head prevented too much movement.
She wriggled her head, scrapping the tops of her glasses against metal. Only one thought came immediately to mind:
How can this get any worse
As if he had been reading her mind, Norman Osborne laughed and backed away.
He stepped aside revealing a large Flat Screen on a push cart.
The image showed caused Victoria’s stomach to knot up: Pepper Potts tied down in what could be best described as an Evil Dentist chair meets H.R. Giger positioned under the tip of a huge Scorpion tail that jutted down from the ceiling
held aloft by thick cables. From the way Pepper was bound and the way the ‘scorpion tail’s ‘ tip was an upside down bowl shape which cover half of the red haired woman’s head; Victoria could only surmise she was currently in the same kind of
contraption.
How can this get any worse?
Norman Osborne starting talking again, speaking each word with giddy excitement and flailing his hands in showmanship.
He told her about BTI—Bimbotech Industries: its owner Mr. Fink, who they were and what it was that they did.
She could only stare back in disbelief, unable to accept any of what the madman said as real.
Then Pepper Potts screamed.
Victoria nearly screamed back in rage herself as she watched the image of her charge writhe in the chair.
Then she realized that Pepper had not cried in pain, but in pleasure.
Narrowing her eyes on the screen Hand felt the blood drain from her face as she looked at Pepper’s expression:
one of pleasure. The look of a girl getting the best lay in her life.
Osborne chuckled.
"It’s basically a two part process” Osborne said pointing to Pepper on the screen, “Mr. Fink explained that they start with the mind.
Bimbotech traps their subjects in an intensely controlled Hallucinatory state.
There’s a probe at the base of the neck that taps directly into the brain, through that they make ‘changes.’
The illusions keep the subjects from fighting whatever changes made, but also reinforces these same changes as well.
When Ms. Potts in finished here she’ll be taken to phase two and her body we’ll be made to match the mind.”
He turned back to her and chuckled a second time.
How can this get any worse?
Then Norman Osborne told Victoria Hand what his plans for her were….
