“WHAT?! But we’re still hungry!” Cried Lyra, holding her
cousin’s arm more tightly as she and the other monsters frowned at the SHIELD
agent. “Yeah, its not like we’re causing trouble getting a bite to eat.”
“Trouble? Look behind you and tell me how much trouble your
NOT in?”
Looking behind them, the Fantastic Four and their allies
witnessed the scoured streets, ruined buildings and carnage their little
‘buffet’ had caused. A path of destruction leading from the Baxtor building to
where they were now. “Looks like things have gotten pretty bad out here, when
did the shops close up?” Asked Johnny, scratching his horned head in confusion.
Fury could only blink in shock. How could they not see what
they had done was right in front of them?! Were they high? “Alright, that’s it!
Use the gas grenades!” The dozens of SHIELD agents grabbed a few grenades from
their belts, pulled the pins and tossed the small canisters into the vicinity of
the Fantastic Four. IN seconds the area was filled with a pink smoke that
filled the area, just as the SHIELD agents fitted their gas masked.
“Hey what’s with the fog machine?” Complained Ben, he and
Alicia waving the pink smoke out of their eyes but feeling woozy the longer
they tried to clear the area.
“I dunno… ‘Yawn’ but I’m kinda getting tired…” Yawning more
deeply, Reed Richards blinked lazily before falling face forward, passing out
when his 5-tonne bulk crashed on the ground, followed by his wife and then the
others.
When the smoke cleared, the Agents gathered around the
sleeping monsters laying in the streets.
“OK team gather these things up and have them caged on the Heli-Carrier
until I know what to do with them.” Looking over to the glowing arrange rock
Susan Storm was carrying, Nick pointed towards it. “And get that thing boxed, I
want it studied and figured out before nightfall!”
