Sheer morbid curiosity led Dick to visit Arkham. From the outside, it looked much the same...on first glance. The second glance revealed that there was a lot less security than there used to be, that men (and women) were constantly coming and going, and
the wrought iron sign on the gates had been changed from "Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane" to "Arkham Assylum for the Carnally Insatiable".
He snickered a little at this, and went in. Upon entering the building proper, a pretty blonde in a white labcoat (open to reveal nothing underneath it but sexy lingerie) came up to him.
"Greetings Mr. Grayson. I'm Dr. Penelope Young, the administrator of the Ass-ylum."
Dick eyed Dr. Young's shapely figure, and idly wondered if she was one of the girls on offering. So he decided to ask.
She smiled at this. "No sir, I'm afraid not. All the girls at Arkham are former villainesses. I do however work the Iceberg Lounge when I get off shift here."
Dick made a note of this, as Dr. Young began what sounded like a standard spiel.
"The 'patients' hang out in the glass-walled cells; if you'd like you can browse and see what's available, and then take the girls of your choice to one of our 'treatment rooms'. Or you can ask for a specific patient, and she'll be sent for you. Normally, we
insist that the 'patients' stay on the premises, but for a man on the GFL we'll be happy to make an exception."
Dick shook his head at that; the idea of supervillainesses being whores was weird enough; he certainly wasn't going to make it weirder by takin one out of Arkham. "So, how many, uhh, 'patients' do you have here?"
"The number is fairly fluid as they're 'released' or arrive, but we've got well over a hundred." She paused and then whispered. "Some of them really were patients back in the day, you know."
Dick already knew that, but the fact that she felt a need to mention it suggested that some of thr girls weren't from Gotham. Interesting that.
"Very interesting, Doc. I think I'm going to..."
