(Author's Note: I'll be using a modified Justice League council with J'onn J'onzz as the leader and Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern/John Stewart, Hawkgirl/Shayera Hol, Flash/Wally West, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Zatanna, Cyborg, Raven and Nightwing as council members. It's a mix of DCAU, DCnU and the new video game Injustice: Gods Among Us. Those are only the core members. You can add as many other regular members as you want.)

When Bruce and Diana teleported to the Watchtower, all the other council members, with the exception of Zatanna, were already present and waiting. The magician was still resting at Wayne Manor after her rough bout of sexual intercourse. Yet J'onn didn't start the meeting right away, once Batman and Wonder Woman had taken their places at the table.

"Wait! Where is Zatanna? I thought she was with you, guys," Flash instead opened his big mouth. All eyes were turned to the Dark Knight, as he was most often the one watching over her, but Diana answered in his place.

"She said she wouldn't be able to come back here with us, as she needed to consult another magician about the case we were working on," she supplied. All her friends seemed to buy this explanation.

"Then we'll conduct this meeting without her," J'onn concluded, eying Diana with mild suspicion. "I assume you all know why I called for this emergency meeting," he continued, receiving several nods in response.

"The question is: why would your mother attack Luthor," Superman finished for him, addressing Diana.

"First things first, is there any proof of Themyscira's involvement in these attacks?" Batman interrupted.

"Luthor seems to have quite a lot of debris from Amazonian invisible jets and dead pilots as evidence," J'onn answered.

"A few corpses he could have acquired by attacking Themyscira himself. Or he might have used dead clones for all we know. Luthor has the means to create an army of them. And if Themyscira did attack Luthor's installations, they most likely had a motive. The Amazons are not belligerent by nature," Batman argued.

"We should probably speak with my mother. She might be able to clear things up," Diana suggested.

"Agreed. Although it is neither Queen Hippolyta nor Themyscira who are put on trial but you," he explained to Wonder Woman.

"You might be forced to be taken into custody until the day of the trial," Superman added, not meeting her eyes. Diana's mouth was wide open in shock, while several other members frowned. Batman's glare was dangerously frightening.

"There's no way we are handing over Diana," Shayera voiced out everyone's opinion.

"Unless they have solid evidence that she participated in the attacks on LexCorp," Raven added.

"But I was with Batman the whole time these attacks took place," Diana argued, then turned to look at Bruce. "Surely you can testify."

Batman's lips curved into a wolfish smirk. "Why, of course! Madame Ambassador here spent the last few days at my house in my charming company," he said, using his playboy voice, which earned him quite a few chuckles and surprised looks.

"Good. But it would still be more prudent if you abstained yourself from public appearances until we know more about what Luthor has planned," J'onn recommended.

"So, what? We're going to sit down on our asses and do nothing," Shayera replied angrily.

"Batman and I keep some blackmail material against Luthor in case he tries anything against the Justice League or one of its members," Superman explained.

"I'll pay him a visit as soon as he makes his move. Unfortunately, we can't act sooner," Batman added.

"I guess our course of action is settled," J'onn agreed. "Diana, as I said before..."

"I'll stay a few more days with Batman," she suggested. "That way I'll barely see any daylight," she joked, flashing him a teasing grin, much to everyone's amusement.

"Meeting adjourned then. I'll be updating you all regularly about this case," J'onn finished, before everyone got up to go back to their own affairs. Most of them decided to stay on the Watchtower.
