"For an alien bug, she's pretty hot," he commented. "No need to change the body, I think. The personality, though..."

Obviously, a meglomaniacal conqueror wouldn't do. And her mind control powers made him equally uncomfortable. So, he altered her history; when she first came to Earth, she was infected by a local pathogen that altered her hypno-pollen. Not realizing this, the first time she used it and was herself enthralled to her intended victim, namely Peter. Eventually, the pollen wore off, but had by then fallen genuinely in love with him.

Thanks to the Macro, her personality was automatically adjusted to suit this new history.
