Lois stood transfixed by the beauty in front of her, there was no mistaking that smile. She was looking at superman! She knew it!
Luthor saw the look on her face and immediately knew that he needed to be proactive to stop this escalating. "Lois, I would feel just awful if i didn't offer you an 'Exclusive' on my new wife. Shall we head to my office briefly so we can do this properly?"
"That would be just wonderful dear" Claire said as she flashed a pearly white smile at Lex. She took Lois' arm in her iron tight grip as Lex led the way.
Lois knew she was in trouble, but she dare not struggle or run with the changed superman gripping her arm tightly.
They reached Luthor's office and he rounded the desk and began pouring himself a glass of scotch. Claire escorted her to a big leather chair and motioned for her to sit. Lois complied out of fear more than anything, as soon as she did so she felt her arms clamped by restraints, she tried to wriggle out but she could tell almost instantly that there was no point.
Claire walked over to Luthor "I will leave you both to it and get back to the party. It wouldn't do for a hostess to abandon her own guests would it now?" She gave him a kiss whispered something in his ear and left elegantly.
"So Lois my dear, what can I tell you about my new bride?" Lex asked, knowing what was coming.
"How? How did you do this? How did you change him?" She stuttered "You wont get away with this" she added, knowing it was somewhat fruitless.
"Ah, so you have figured me out entirely. You always did have a nose for this stuff Lois, I suppose it goes with the job and I suppose from your relationship with the boyscout you are more than likely best placed to figure it out. But alas that is a very good question, simple answer really though." he said as he unlocked his top desk drawer. "This is how I did it" He pulled out a silvery orb, it seemed as if there was something glowing and shifting within.
"One of my research teams discovered this on a mining expedition in northern Africa, they figured that it was just a valuable jewel but it is so much more. Once we got it back to our lab in the states we realized that it is a new form of the material called kryptonite with very special properties. This orb can manipulate reality around specific points in space." Lois shifted in her seat, she could tell he wasn't kidding.
"Once we had worked out the kinks it was simple really, just had to lure in Supes and in a couple of seconds he was my loving trophy wife, just as wicked and power hungry as me. The best part is that the world is none the wiser, they just think superman has left them to it." Lex chuckled
"Now the real question is what to do with you now that you know the truth?" Lex gripped the orb tightly and it let off a crackle of energy. Lois felt it hit her and then blacked out.
