In the living room of X-Factor Investigations Headquarters...
"What's going on out here?" Jamie Madrox, Multiple Man, said, before pausing and staring gape-jawed at the strange sight before him. "Lorna? What are you doing?"
"She's learned her place and she's taking it," Monet smugly replied. At the moment, she was reclining in a chair with her arms behind her head, feet resting on the back of her designated footstool known as Polaris. The green-haired mutant, in addition to working
as a living ottoman, had her face buried into Layla's spread legs, lapping at the blonde's wet sex.
Jamie found it confounding. "And Lorna is okay with this?"
"More than okay, she asked for this," Layla answered. "Listen."
With a click of a remote in Layla's hand, an audio recording from the security feed played back over the room's speakers. The speaker, distinctly Polaris, came through loud and clear.

"Oh god, Layla and Monet. I can't spend one more second living a lie."
"Lorna? What's wrong?" Layla's playback said.
"I'm pathetic, Layla. I'm so pathetic I had to force myself back into an old team of mine made of members ten years younger than me, and I still can't hold a candle to you and Monet. You're so skilled, so sexy, so... so..."
"Bout time," spouted Monet.
"Lorna," Layla asked, "what are you trying to say?"
"I'm trying to say I'm nothing next to the two of you. You're the queens of the team, I'm just a flunky. I... I..." There was a sudden pause, giving a false sense that they had reached the end, before a sudden outburst came through the speakers. "That's it!"
"What's it?"
"I'll be your sidekick!" Polaris excitedly proclaimed. "Women as great as the two of you deserve to have someone beneath you that you can boss around, and it's obvious with how low I've sunk that I need a mentor or two to train me and rescue me when I get myself
into trouble. Imagine how much respect the two of you will get when you get to tell people you're mentoring a woman nearly ten years your senior!"
"If that's what you want," Layla said, "then you can start by giving me a thrill between my legs."
