Peter looked at the ring the man he had rescued have given him, really forced him to take as a reward for pulling the man out of the way of a bus coming down the street as the man tried to cross.
"You are a good man, who deserves a reward for all of the good you do. Take this ring and wear it always, and your luck will change for the better." said the old man in the suit before he walked away from Peter, after slipping the ring on younger man's pinkie
where it fit perfectly.
'Looks like it's worth a fortune, I don't know why that man would give it way. Not sure what I am going to tell people where I got it. It's unbelievable but there are all kinds of crazy people out there. And rich people have the money to be as crazy as they
want to be.' thought Peter as he decided to honour the man's request for now.
The man had turned into a corner. The man was a elderly African American in appearance, but as the sun played about the alley, the man's shadow took on the form of a spider. He was the African Trickster Spider God, Anansi. A god who was rumoured to have once
been a man with powers similar to Peter's, a god who was master of all stories... and story elements like narrative devices. Like the Ring of Truth he had recently acquired as it landed in this multiverse.
'One good turn deserves another, and one spider helping another one out is rare yet possible. Let see if you can improve your life, Mr. Parker. Either way it's going to make some fun chaos and a good story out of this.' said the man before he took the form
of a transparent spider and started to climb an invisible web to the heavens.
