The threat to the universe far less chaotic and urgent than most heroes and villains were used to allowed several routines to continue. One of them was the close to a decade and a half long monthly meeting between three of the most well-known heroes in existence. Well it was less than an official meeting and more like a friendly gathering, because despite the sometimes mumbled protests of the richest and least powerful of the trio, all were the closest of friends. The strength and camaraderie they drew from one another fueled hope in their darkest moments, in the face of the infinite number of crises, no matter which of the fifty two, new or otherwise, of the universes they found themselves in, this bond would endure.

Bruce arrived first, getting the booth with the widest seat available. He ordered some coffee, took some sips, and watched as his best friend arrived a good five minutes before the agreed upon time. Clark offered his usual boyish grin and clasped Bruce's hand as firmly as he dared in a handshake, Bruce having risen to meet him.

"I'm expecting Diana to be a bit late owing to this plan she dived headlong into."

"I think she'll be here right on time," Clark replied, sitting down beside Bruce.

"How's Lois?"

"She's getting used to ordering from plus sized stores but she's happy. She never was one to eat all that healthy anyway."

"Kansas does have a high obesity rate, so it doesn't surprise me you're blushing right now."

"The perks of appreciating women as they are and not like the supermodels you go through like a certain Caped Crusader plows through henchmen."

Bruce just offered his friend his best playboy smile while Clark laughed. "You'd be surprised how many larger women there are in Gotham nowadays."

"So it's working."

"Now, now, boys, no discussing work during our meetings, remember?" Diana's strong voice cut in, both seated men looking up at the changed form of their closest friend. Diana smirked at the reddening in Clark's cheeks and marveled at the control Bruce had over his face as the only thing he did was nod.

Diana posed a bit, dressed in a simple, almost grungy pair of sweats, both pants and shirt a dull grey color. The sweats did little to cover her now full fledged beer belly nor did either man miss the slight sound of stretching elastic around her rear as she sat down.

"How do I look?"

"Beautiful," both men replied, Diana chuckling at their apparently synched responses.

"I believe jinx is what follows right? Regardless, thank you for the compliment, though frumpy was what I'm going for. Maybe next month I'll bring the food-stained clothes. I trust you both are well?"

"Things are going good, though I think we'll need to shop around at the Planet for a second donut supplier. I'm feeling bad for the usual delivery drivers."

Diana looked to Bruce next, the man offering her a warm smile. "Things are quiet though Wayne Enterprises is looking into buying majority shares in start up bakeries and fast food companies owing to recent events. Any suggestions?"

"Pan's Bakery out in Massachusetts for one," Diana replied, "and Zolt's Pizza in Denver."

"Noted," Bruce said, eyes going to the waitress that had come up to their table, placing three glasses of ice water in front of them.

"I'm sorry for the wait, we're pretty busy. Can I get you anything else to drink or are you ready to order?"

Clark motioned for Diana to go first but Diana nodded towards Bruce. "I'll have a pastrami on rye with just water to drink."

Diana waited patiently while the waitress got the order down and made eye contact with her. "I will have two milkshakes, strawberry and chocolate along with two orders of your Monster Burger with fries for one of the meals and tater tots for the other. Also, I would like the Mint Chocolate Blast Pie from your dessert menu."

"Would you like the pie later on or with the meal?"

"With the meal, please."

Finishing jotting down the large order, the woman turned towards Clark.

"A slice of cherry pie with one scoop of ice cream and some black coffee, if you please."

Nodding once all the orders were gone, the woman left leaving the friends to converse freely.

"How are you finding your larger lifestyle?" Bruce asked, knowing Clark would be far too nice to ask the question.

"I'm loving it, actually. I never knew just how much variety and taste that was out there. Sure needing larger and larger clothes sizes is a bit of a chore but nothing too taxing. I am also finding myself more and more aroused the larger I get." Diana winked at Bruce as she finished talking, Clark's face now turning almost totally red, Bruce smirking and the two started to laugh as Clark took a sip from his water and ended up choking a bit. "But truthfully I am looking forward to being larger and showing the world that size is no impediment to living one's life. Even when this plan of ours is nothing but history."

Clark, shooting both his friends swift glares, resumed his usual friendly expression as he took another sip of water. "How does your family feel about this?"

"Mother is actually getting quite large herself, Phillipus and Artemis helping her along though Artemis has vowed to be larger than me when everything's settled. Donna's needed my help a bit in accepting her new figure but Dick and the rest of her friends finished what I started and now it's all I can do to get her to slow down on her gorging. Cassie's been all for it since day one and can't help but point out how amusing it is seeing me starting to waddle lately. What about you Clark? I saw how much Lois has gained during last night's coverage of the visiting ambassadors to the UN but are your parents taking things well?"

"Pa seems okay with it but Ma's pleased as punch to show off her latest pie recipes whenever Kara or Karen visits. She always did insist to finish everything on our plates growing up. I just want everyone going through this plan to be healthy and ready to help in whatever way they can when things go back to normal." Clark finished with another sip of his drink, nodding to Diana as both looked over at Bruce.

"Now it's your turn to spill, Bruce. How is your family reacting to everything?"

Bruce calmly drank a bit more of his coffee before replying. "Cassandra's approaching it like another mission but Stephanie's slowly getting her to enjoy stuffing her face. Alfred's outdoing himself with the meals, as you found out on your last visit Diana."

Diana nodded, patting her stomach. "Indeed, Clark the next time you're over, ask him to make his cherry ice cream sundae or his roast pork with truffles."

"Noted," Clark replied, but looked at Bruce. "Don't think you'll be able to get away with just telling us that much. C'mon, give us the rest of it."

Bruce let a light sigh escape his lips as his sometimes childish best friends joined together to give him watery puppy dog eyes. "Fine. Dick's enjoying dropping off pizzas to Barabara a little too much for my liking. Tim's trying to come up with a gaining program for Stephanie and Cassandra while ensuring their mobility is retained. Jason doesn't seem to care one way or the other. Alfred, besides his cooking skills, wants everyone to be as healthy as possible but still dotes on Cassandra and Stephanie whenever they're over."

"What about the nightlife? Any plumping supermodels yet?" Diana asked.

"I've noticed Selina's nearly a match for you in size, though a tad larger in the belly than you are. I've heard rumors of Talia buying up as many European and Asian branches of restaurants as she can but not much else. Quinn and Isley are approaching their release and Zatanna...well you've seen what she's concocting with Wanda. As for the supermodels, a few have gotten a little thicker but overall nothing too noticeable."

"Are you enjoying playing the playboy with the plus sized?"

Bruce smirked at Diana's question. "I believe you both know I don't care about the size of any potential partners. There has to be something more to a person than just their body for me to be truly interested."

"Would you give me another day looking like I do now?" Diana asked, tone as serious as Clark or Bruce had ever heard her use.

Clark took another sip, letting the other two stare at one another while waiting for Bruce's answer. He allowed himself a slight smirk of his own as he heard Bruce's heartbeat speed up. He thought about subtly bumping into Bruce and letting the rich man and Diana act out the tension they'd built up through years of friendship and a few short months of romance. What they had, continued to have, Clark reminded himself, was worth figuring out and sustaining as far as the Man of Steel was concerned.

"All the time I have left," Bruce replied.

Bruce couldn't see it, but Clark could both see and hear Diana's heart matching Bruce's own pace. His smirk became a full on giddy grin. Thankfully the food was approaching, so he could mask his true reasons for smiling like that as Bruce and Diana both looked away from one another and towards the approaching meal.

Diana licked her lips and took a huge bite as soon as the waitress set the plate down in front of her and the worker had moved away. Half the burger was now in her mouth as she chewed, adding a few fries for good measure even as her jaws closed again.

Bruce's heartbeat only increased and Clark knew that after all this gaining was over he was going to lock the two together in the training room on the Watchtower and not let them out until they were either knocked out from sparring or admitting to each other that breaking up was the worst thing either of them had done.

For now he just enjoyed his pie and coffee and watched Diana pig out and Bruce outwardly project a calm demeanor while inwardly lusting after the gorging goddess in front of him.
