The Melder smiled to himself. He had a few minor successes with his new, ultra high tech melding wand, a gift given to him by a time traveller named Kang the Conqueror, but melding two superheroes together in those two X-Men Jean Grey and Wolverine? It was definitely his most successful endeavor yet with the wand. He merrily made his way to another part of New York City and just his luck.

He saw a group of X-Men who hadn't been at the mansion: Rogue and Gambit, younger members Husk and Jubilee and various students. ostensibly as a stroll through New York although currently they were on guard as the crafty shapeshifter Mystique was currently in an argument with Rogue, Gambit and the other X-Men.
