Loki, God of mischief, in a scheme to get his brother, Thor, banished from Asgard, convinced him that Mary Jane Watson was his beloved, the Lady Sif. Thor left Asgard, which Loki knew would force his banishement. Thor returned with Mary Jane in his company,
and Spider-Man webbed along for the ride.
Arriving at the gates of the Realm Eternal, Heimdall, Guardian of the Rainbow Bridge, followed Odin's edict and refused to let Thor enter. Mary Jane collapsed, the result of a powerful sleep spell cast by Loki. Many sets of eyes became fixed on her, for
her mortal beauty was greater than any Goddess of Asgard. All of them wanted to ravish her, but only one would get her first.
