Felicia thought.  There were so many ways in which she could take Mary Jane out of the picture.  On the other hand, there was a naughty thrill that came from being the other woman, and the Black Cat was all about naughty thrills.  What to do?

Mary Jane stood in line for an audition.  No matter how many she went through they always made her nervous.  In her state of nervousness she became twitchy and fidgety.  She began to scratch a the needle marks and her skinny and veiny arms.  With a shaky hand she took a cigarette from her purse and lifted it to her lips.

She had far too much makeup on and black roots were showing in her titian hair.

Next she tried to light the cigarette.  Almost on reflex she lit a match, then suddenly frightened by the fire she spasmed worrying some of the other people in line.  One woman lit the cigarette for her, not wanting a repeat of that incident.

Finally the director called her name.

She walked out.  Her head was low and she refused to make eye contact with anyone.  Her hand shook and she continued to scratch at her tread-marks.  She wore a cocktail dress that was ratty and stained.

On the stage, MJ tapped the microphone, then grabbed her head as though the sound gave her a sudden migraine.

She began to recite her lines.  Half way into the audition the director said “Stop.”

From the corner of her eye MJ saw the director discuss matters with his producer.

“She’s perfect.”

“Sir... I don’t know how to say this.  Are you sure a real meth addict didn’t wander into the audition?”

“Ha... A real meth addict wouldn’t have gotten her lines right.  Don’t worry, she’s just a very good actress.”?
“She’s an amazing actress.  Are you sure she’s not a meth addict.”

Across town Felicia smiled at her handiwork.

<Mary Jane will be perfect for any role she auditions for.>

With this simple line, the woman’s acting / modeling career will take off.  She’ll be working constantly, and Felicia will have all the opportunity in the world steal Peter away.

When it was over MJ, still looking like a meth addicted prostitute, shouldered her purse and hurried out.  She had another audition across the street.  This time she would audition to be:

So had a thought, What if Robin 2 (Jason Todd) was Jennifer Todd but was still a Robin and not a Batgirl?

Stumbo, if you want to add to Going Native you are more than welcome. :)

GAV, I loved your chapters. The storyline has a lot of potential. As for ruleradvent's addition, I'm confused. Don't get me wrong, it was well written but it doesn't seem to flow from the other chapters. Am I missing something?

Thanks for adding to the Mephisto storyline, exidor455 and great work! I'll try to work on chapters coming up here. I've been pretty busy recently but will try to write something for it.

@King :) Everything works here (execpt the Homepage itself^^) The only wish i had would be a writer that puts some effort into the Story. Background length character depth and so on :)

Sorry Ruleradvent, I was a bit shitty there. But I hate non-chapters. If you're going to write something, write something. :)
