Rogue, Shaw decided, would be perfect.
She was someone he could shape into being the perfect queen.
On the battlefield her limitless power would be at his disposal and in the bedroom she'd do whatever he wanted her to do.
Shaw had to get her, and he knew the perfect way to do it.

"Another damn day, another damn fight." Rogue sighed as she laid down on her bed and stared at the ceiling.
Rogue
had hit a bad rut recently after yet another breakup with Gambit and a
seemingly endless barrage of villains had decided to attack them on a
daily basis and now she was beginning to question why she was even an
X-Man when their was far better stuff she could be doing with her life
that didn't involve getting the living crap kicked out of her and being
stuck in a relationship that seemed to be in permanent dance of one step
forward followed by two steps back.
She wasn't sure how, but she was certain that something in her life needed to change very soon.
She
had no idea that Sebastian Shaw had plans for her, plans that would, if
all went well, make her a woman more powerful than she'd ever realized
she could be.
