Peter took a breath, and hope he had made the right choice. He had too much duty to handle. Since Mary Jane left him unable to deal with Spider-man, he had been going through the motions. So when the Skrulls made their offer, and he had checked things out, he took it once he made some modifications. Like Skrulls to take care of his lives, which they uses some method to make people ignore if Peter PArker and Spider-man were there if the people knew they were the same person. He figured they had cover stories like stand ins or robots or something. But with a Peter to take care of Aunt May and a Spider-man to save New York, he had time for a breather.
Especially since he was helping them to a degree. Since they were trying for peaceful means, he would help. Help peace between the two of them, like Star Trek. Giving them the means to build their own homeworld to replace their Throneworld instead of using Earth instead. Or just another responsible use of his power, in this case his brain.
It also helped he had a number of Skrull attendants, with three main ones. One to take the form of any celebrity he wanted, one to take the form of any heroine, and one to take the form of any villainess. Or nicknaming the after his old loves... Mary Jane, Gwen and Felicia. Who were in the form of Emma Clarke, Natasha Romanova and Emma Frost. But they weren't the only Skrulls taking on sexy lady forms. Peter wasn't surprised.
