Barry Black was a man living in a world where advance science could alter the fabric of reality, for those with Physic degrees. Barry, however, held a chemistry degree with specialization in bio-chemistry. Which could have gotten him to any technology
company or government agency. If it wasn't for his debts his foolish relatives had racked up and dumped on him when they died. He needed quick money and fast, and there was only one source of cash with his deadlines.
Which is how he was working in an abandoned house, trying to experiment with different types of new drugs for the crime lord he now worked for. This kingpin wanted drugs which were highly addictive which could get folks to pass over premium dough, drugs which
could be used to make superhuman soldiers for his crime empire or a mixture of the two.
The fact he had unreliable access to the chemicals he needed didn't help. Some were stuff they could steal from labs, other were just junk they could buy cheaply from a Wal-Mart or similar store.
Which wasn't to say he didn't have anything he couldn't use for his boss' purpose. Just most were untested. Which was why the boss had brought in the Junkies, as human test subjects. Which was also bad as it was not a clean sample and who knows what the stuff
Barry created would react to people with crack, weed, booze, tobacco or meth in their systems.
But he had to do what the criminals in charge wanted if he wanted to profit... and live. Live in the same world as...
