Roberta’s capabilities were staggering, especially when it came to simulating the probable outcomes of scenarios.
She knew she had to find a way to remove Susan from the equation before she destroyed everything they all loved, but in 73% of the scenarios either Johnny, Ben, or both had turned up as ‘wild cards’ that turned the tide from certain victory to utter
defeat; especially where Sue was concerned. In fact, even though 97% of the failed scenarios were fueled by Reeds incredible intelligence, the key element that made it possible for the scenario to fail was easily four times more likely
to have been a contribution of Johnny or Ben. Clearly, they had to be pushed out of the way for the foreseeable future, but Roberta loved them too as they were part of the family as well.
However she proceeded, it needed to be something that provided the men something that desired above all while allowed them to leave without guilt.
The guiltless part was easy.
Roberta could construct drone-bots of them with all their abilities and a personality matrix constructed from their own minds, but these drone-bots would have key portions of their personality matrix overridden to make them her accomplices.
With these drone-bots on the team as well as several backup drone-bots for emergency use the men would not feel any guilt in leaving the team.
Reed and Sue would still be covered.
Next, removing Johnny from the equation was simplicity itself.
All that was needed was an adventure with plenty of babes.
Option 1 involved the Torch accepting a two year teaching assignment with the Xavier School for Gifted Children.
They have been after him for years to help train the children with thermal powers.
Of course spiking his favorite cologne with Asgardian lust potion would have the women fighting over him which would have him so distracted that he would probably forget to come home for Christmas.
Option 2 for the Human Torch actually involved Victoria Elliot, 35 year old mega babe owner of the biggest extreme sports entertainment corporation and philandering wife of one of the richest
men in the world. Victoria had the hots for Johnny both as an act for her troop and as a bed warmer as well.
Of course there are plenty of other babes hanging around those events as well to keep him occupied when Victoria had… other things to do. All she had to do was intercept the next offer letter from Victoria and saturate it with
her signature perfume spiked with the same Asgardian lust potion in Option 1.
Johnny would break the sound barrier to seal the deal with her… in every way possible.
The obvious ploy with Ben would be help him to remove his powers so he could live a normal life.
The only thing is this in and of itself would not prevent him from remaining on the team. Another option would be get him to join the Avengers or some other team but this has always been an unreliable thing with him.
Sooner or later he comes back. No, she had a much better plan for him.
The Eternal’s of Titan had a process to help other eternals who had lost their ability to regenerate themselves.
The donor needed to be cosmically powered and the recipient needed to be of the same species as the donor.
In theory, this process could heal Alicia Master’s blindness, but there are only about two dozen possible human donors that could make it work, one of which being Ben Grimm.
This plan would guarantee he would be off world from six months to two years. With a simple message to the Titan Eternal’s AI, ISAAC, and Roberta had already set Ben’s departure in motion.
