using Apokolips' holographic technology.
Superheroes and villains alike had been devastated by Superman's death and most of them had simply surrendered or fled. Most of those who had continued to resist were either captured and brought as slaves to Apokolips or made an example of. And to make sure
Earth's population had understood the lesson, Darkseid razed Metropolis from the surface of the planet with his bare hands and the power of his Omega beams.
After he was done adding Earth to his empire, Darkseid returned on Apokolips and left our World in the care of his son Kalibak.
