Diana's face turned grim for a moment.
"Mother, do we know the cause of this strange affliction?"
"Not yet, my Daughter," Hippolyta replied sadly "but I was given divine warning that the lust madness will be permanent if we do not cure each and every Amazon's desires."
"Then perhaps we should begin by discovering those desires first? You and I are both able to control ourselves, unlike our sisters." Diana replied.
"For now, at least, yes. Your request makes sense but beware, you may be surprised by quite a bit of what you hear."

As it turned out, her Mother spoke the truth. Diana was shocked to hear how many of her Amazon Sisters had secret desires for the men of Man's World she had brought with her to the island. While an obvious handful had the more understandable desires for Hawkgirl,
Supergirl and other female heroines they'd seen on the island, at least a quarter of them desired men.
Much to Diana's annoyance, a small but notable number found the Batman intriguing, admiring his skills as a warrior. Others desired Superman and even a small number found Martian Manhunter intriguing. Much to her surprise, however, the majority of the Amazon
women who had hidden desires for men lusted for The Flash, whose slim form was so much like theirs but in so many mysterious ways, clearly not the same at all. Perhaps, Diana, thought these Amazons who were virgins to the ways of men found the jokey speedster
non-threatening and therefore most attractive to teach them the ways of making love with men.
That was not the biggest surprise of the day however . . .
Diana wandered into the medical tent that had been set up by Amazons whose lusts had been for one another and had thereby managed to corral the afflicted without incident. Several of the unaffected Amazons stared up at her in surprise and exchanged looks Diana
could not quite fathom.
"I am here to take a census of my Sister's desires that have yet to be sated, so we may help them." she announced calmly, trying to force sensuous thoughts of Bruce Wayne out of her mind.
"Yes, my Princess, we have heard of your quest . . . but is that all you have arrived for?" asked one nervous member of the Amazonian guard.
"What more is there for me to-" Diana began, only for a loud moan to drown her out.
"DIANA? Ohhhhh, DIANA! My PRINCESS!" groaned the short-haired brunette blacksmith known as Io, her muscular arms threatening to break the bonds placed around them. "Please touch my unworthy flesh! Honor me with your kiss! Let me place my unworthy lips upon
your magnificent body! Ohhhhh, gods, Princess, I NEED YOU!"
Diana was shocked and found herself blushing. She'd known that Io had feelings for her but she never knew that they ran this deep! Of course, she then blushed even harder when a chorus of similar moans began from at least half a dozen other Amazons . . .
