As a strange doppleganger appeared from the Red Skull's mirror, another mirror appeared suddenly on the Avengers Watchtower.
The mirror was a floor-length one with elegantly carved golden pictures of nymphs cavorting on the frame. It appeared in the middle of the changing rooms where members of the Avengers Society would change from their costumes to their civilian clothes and shower,
equidistant between the door to the Men's and the Ladies rooms. A lush red velvet curtain hid it but not for long . . .
"Huh, a mirror. Makes sense." shrugged the eminently practical Power Girl as she floated by it, not noticing the inscription above it that read
LOOK NOT INTO THIS MIRROR LEST YOUR DESIRES MANIFEST
She casually tossed off the red velvet rope and saw that it was as clear as the surface of a pond, reflecting her powerful physique and costume back perfectly. Oddly, she felt an tiny shimmer of arousal as she stared into the mirror. Karen Starr rarely felt
