Megatropolis

Like many cities in America it has heroes and villains, each with their owngoals and desires. But they are not the main character in this story, that roleis filled by Betty Panton a psychiatrist who is about to enter the most secureprison in Megatropolis, the Foundation.

The prisons entrance is built into the base of Mount Sanders with the complex 3miles underground and houses the most dangerous of the cities meta-humancriminals. But it also holds one of the superhero communities greatestfailures.

Getting access to the prison required a signed pass from the mayor or threecouncil members, a back ground check, full body scans and a cavity search forgood measure. Some would say the security was a little overboard but it wasdeemed necessary after Devastator escaped when his "Sister" broughthim a nano-explosive in her <censored from record>.

"So are you the Therapist the inmates keep talking about" The prisonguard said as the two rode the elevator down to the solitary confinement wing.

"No. I'm a psychiatrist here to see an inmate" Betty Panton replied."I only wear the mask in front of my more diverse patients"straightening her domino mask.

"Whatever you say lady. Just make sure you put the suit on before youenter the observation room."

"I don't see why I need to wear it. There is no indication in thepatient's file that she will affect me, if I didn't were it."

"Given her power set it's either the suit or closed circuit TV."

"No. If i am to make any progress in helping her I have to show her that Ican be trusted."

"Whatever gets you through the day doc."
 
The doors opened and Betty stepped out walking down a white corridor until shereached a heavy metal door. Next to it was a yellow hazmat suit with a glasshelmet. Putting her brief case down she put the gear over her blue businesssuit, and tucked her brown hair under the collar. Picking up the case andopening the door, inside the room was a single chair in front of a large windowthat looked inside a very dark room.

Two hours later the individual known as Betty Panton ceased to exist and thegreatest treat to Meatropolis would return.
