The new ideal version of Joxer the Truly Mighty had been looking for his friends, Xena and Gabrielle. He knew Gabby had been looking to watch and learn some bardic techniques from a festival for the Muse. Xena was closer as she was looking for some repairs on her equipment, like her armor and Argos' saddle. So he headed for her, not noticing the looks of admiration and respect he got from men and the looks of lust and desire he had gotten from women. He had yet to see his new perfected appearance yet, or notice his armor becoming more well made then made up of leftovers.

He found Xena finishing up her 'shopping' at the Blacksmithery, where she had finished her repairs and up keep on her tools as well as her weapons. She turned to look at him, her eyes opened with shock and something else.

"Joxer, what happened to you?" asked Xena as she seemed to notice something about him.

He stopped and was puzzled, "Why? What is it?"

She moved to use a polished shield of bronze, where he could see image. Which was now revealed to be an idealized version of himself in well crafted armor, not what he had expected. His mind tried to figure out what has happened, when he realized what it could be... the Ring of Truth. He knew how he could test it, "It's nothing to worry about Xena."

The look of shock and confusion left her as she seemed to be calmed, as if she had nothing to worry about. She returned the shield and said, "I'm almost finished up here. Then we can find our way to meet Gabrielle at the festival in the next town over."

Joxer heard her but was thinking on what he had in his hands. He also noticed Xena was still looking at him with desire, even if she had iron control of herself, the truth leaked out of her eyes. Joxer realized it was because of his song, recited to book his ego and confidence. Now each and every word of it was true. Which left Joxer with a thought, 'What else can I make true?'
