Doctor Octopus had stolen Spider-mans body. Peter had one hope of reclaiming his life. It was a fleeting hope, but hope none the less. It required that Octavius's ruined body hold onto life for a few minutes more, but more importantly it required that
the evil doctor, the master planner, not be prepared for the very same trick he himself had devised.
Peter had reprogrammed the golden octobot, the very one Doc Ock had used to steal his body. Just now, it was lunging towards Octavius's neck.
Octavius sneered. A carbonadium plate protected his mind from the octobots intrusion.
He grabbed the device and tossed it aside with triumphant fury.
Like when he had broken the Scorpions jaw (and possibly his neck) Octavius had forgotten his own strength. The mind switching device flew much further than the bad doctor had intended.
Mary Jane rushed in the direction everyone else rushed away from. Something deep in her heart told her that Peter was in grave danger. Suddenly she caught a golden glint of something fly towards her at tremendous speed. She was struck by the octobot.
"No! Peter screamed. He tried desperately to resist as his mind was pulled from the dying body that formerly belonged to doctor Octavius and transferred into the nimble form of MJ.
The last thing he heard was Octavius's horrid laugh coming from what was supposed to be his own mouth.
