It has been quite a while since a former backer of the Justice League International known as Maxwell Lord and his robotic lackey,L-Ron has been able to talk some former mebers of the JLI into joining a new team of super-powered heroes known as the Super Buddies except for Captain Marvel,whose sister known as Mary Marvel--whose real name is Mary Batson--has allowed herself to join in his place and become a new roommate to her fellow Super Buddy known as Fire(Beatriz Bonilla da Costa).

But of course,that actually does not that this new chapter of the lives of the former Justice Leaguers has not been going smoothly and if you want to know what the author of this story is trying to get at,you might want to close your eyes and imagine yourself inside the team's strip mall storefront headquarters in Queens,New York,which was where you might be able to find one of the Super Buddies known as Booster Gold(Michael Jon Carter)trying to convince his fellow team member,the Blue Beetle(Ted Kord)into yet another hair-brained scheme,only to have a reluctant Ted place his hands over his ears and yell,"FOR THE LAST TIME,BOOSTER!THE ANSWER IS NO!"

"Come on,Ted!I'm serious!All we need to do is go over to the small New Jersey town of Midvale and convice Supergirl to join the team!",that was what the Super Buddy from the future has said to his best friend,only to have the Blue Beetle turn towards Booster,give him a good hard stare and say,"Oooohhhh,really!Would that be before or after Captain Atom sues Max for what happened to him while we were Roulette's prisoners or you had gone into Doctor Fate's room back at the JSA headquarters and used one of his mystic artifacts to actually wish us straight to fucking Hell?!"

"Okay-okay!It's true that I had caused us to get sent to Hell,but if I'm not mistaken,both Power Girl and Guy Gardner had followed us into Hell in order to help us get out of there!",that was what Booster had said to his fellow Super Buddy,only to have the one team member known as Mary Marvel overhear the entire conversation between the two former JLI members and realize that she might have better luck of getting the mighty Maid of Steel to join the Super Buddies.

And so,after she had written a note to her roommate and asked L-Ron to let Max know what she has planned on doing,the one member of the mighty Marvel Family has zoomed herself out of New York and over to Midvale,New Jersey,where she was hoping to find the one super-powered heroine whose real name happens to be Kara Zor-El.

But then,after she had spotted the last surviving member of the Kryptonian city of Argo standing next to the swimming pool behind the home of Supergirl's alter ego,Linda Lee Danvers,Mary has landed herself behind the blonde super-powered babe and placed her gentle hand on Kara's shoulder,only to have the blonde Kryptonian turn her eyes toward the beautiful Super Buddy and said,"I already know why you're here,Mary.Max has already called and offered the exact same deal to me.And of course,I'm more than willing to take him up on it.That is...if I'm able to prove myself,which is what I'm going to do...right now!"

And just as a confused Mary was about to ask the blonde Kryptonian what was she talking about,the female cousin of the mighty Man of Steel has given the Marvel Family member a good hard smack across the face and caused her to fall right into the pool just before the Maid from Krypton has kneeled herself down to the pool with a smug msile on her face and said,"How does that feel,Superbitch?!"

Of course,that has caused a suddenly enraged Mary Marvel to reach her hand out of the water,grab a firm hold of Kara's blonde hair and pulled her real hard into the pool just before the two super-powered females had really started kicking and punching each other in the water.
