Kate sighed as she stared at the framed picture of Maggie Sawyer, her on-again, currently off-again lover. It was late, just after patrol, an easy one at that. Removing what remained of her costume , Kate sat down on her bed, stretching a bit before laying down fully, letting a yawn escape.
"My dear Kate, don't worry, your pain is about to end."
Kate darted up at the voice but felt her muscles relax as she laid eyes on a gorgeous, etheral, woman standing at the foot of her bed, the woman starting to hum and that was all it took for Kate to slip completely into slumber.
Erato stared at the now slumbering form of the third of her chosen heroines. Yes, Kate Kane would be the perfect teacher to Cassandra and Stephanie. With a thought her magic bound the collar to Kate's neck, flashing a bit as it finished synchronizing with her very soul. Easily picking up the woman, Erato vanished with Kate in her arms, towards the modest loft Cassandra Cain-Wayne maintained and where the two slumbering young women waited.
Placing Kate between the pair, Erato watched the dull thrum of the collars as they meshed with each other.
Still, Erato, realized, it wasn't quite right. She had four Sirens of the formerly villainous persuasion and only three heroines thus far. A fourth would be needed to provide a firm foundation for the heroic part of her equation.
She closed her eyes and focused on the one guiding her actions, the being that had given her both the way and the means to enact this plan. The Presence, The Source, God, and countless other names were given to it but Erato simply chose to call it friend.
Her friend showed her an image and Erato nodded.
