Doctor Mindbender went to the computer and contacted his emperor, "Serpentor, my Lord. I hve good news. The mind manipulation process seems to be working better then we expected. After a dose at the night club and a deeper, longer dose on the plane, the Joes have become docile to their handles. Even friendly. Best of all, they are currently obeying our order."
"Excellent, Mindbender. The question is, however, how long it will last?" asked the clone of a hundred vicious warlords.
"This is what I am testing with the lesser test subjects." started the Mad Scientists till he was interrupted.
"Lesser test subjects? I thought we were testing on the Joes. What are you not tell me Mindbender?"
"The Joes are not being used for the testing of the various mind control prototypes as I need them for a more important process. The Joes both represent a source of skilled slaves with training we can use as well as a test on those who would most likely reject our dominace over all. We do not need to turn their minds into mush when can use them.
Instead I have collected the unwanted of the corrupted world. Runaways, criminals, prostitutes, the homeless and so on... Better to scramble the minds of the unwanted, then those we could want. Plus we have made no small amount of money helping cities remove their criminal and homeless problems.
I also have a request for you, my lord. Another test of new resources which will allow me to expand the test. Improving the synthodrones, we have created synthoclones. Perfect copies of peope who can replace anyone better then the drones, without the drawbacks. Like melting when damaged. Instead, they act just like normal body tissues."
"Why am I hearing this now and why haven't we replaced anyone yet? This would seem like a good way to conquer the world? Is it not?"
"Surprisingly, no. We attempted the scheme with the synthodrones, replacing those who commanded G.I.Joe with our replacements. It failed because even when the commanders ordered the team to disband, they continued to hunt the truth even going as far as to disobey orders. Even if the clones are better, it will not change the situation of what happened before from happening again. Which is why mind control where the subject has no choice to disobey orders is better.
Our clones would be best used to keep the Joes from missing their teammates, while we conduct extensive tests on them. With the occational leak of vital information or leading their 'teammates' into traps we can gather them for testing... if needed.
With the clones keeping the Joes from looking for our foursome, I can study their resistance to ideas they react negatively to. Which will allow me to correct the mistakes to allow for perfect slaves her obey all commands, no matter what they are. Even if ordered to brutally torture and kill their loved ones.

"Yes, but keep me updated with the tests. And increase the testing with the... lesser, expendable test subjects. I want those Joes rushing to do as we command with glee as soon as possible. This I command."
