Megan dried her hair as she got ready for her day. She fully expected this to be a busy day. She was expecting Susan or rather Suzy as soon as she got over her hangover to come and try to get out of the contract she had signed last night during the after party.
While she felt somewhat guilty for taking advantage of the blond superheroine she had no intention of letting her out of that contract for free. Her company had been deep in the red before Suzy had come onto the scene. That was one of the reasons that she had accepted that jackass directors script, he'd had friends that had giving them a delay on a loan repay. She'd known something was wrong with him, but hadn't been in a position to tell him to get lost. Truly it had been an opportunity of a lifetime for her and the company. When she had found out about Susan Richards being used as a porn actress she'd initially been outraged as she knew it had to be something illegal. Then had come fear of a potential Super battle in the studio, though after checking their insurace policy she'd actually been tempted to call and report it and hope a battle happened to collect the insurance payout. Thankfully what had happened was the director had dropped dead on them.
Then Susan had approached her about getting the film back, she'd been so tempted to just give it too her knowing that there wasn't much she could do with it, but had held out to see if the herione would try to pay her off. And boy had she gotten a payoff, though in a form she couldn't have expected.
The Suzy Sapphire form that the heroine had come up with was spectacular. She hadn't expected Sue's solution to their problem but she had certainly run with it. It was even better when Suzy turned out to be a decent actress on top of being a pretty face. The first movie had been well recieved but the second and third had excellent reviews and the returns produced were phenomenol.
Megan realized that she was sitting on a figurative goldmine. She would normally feel bad about forcing someone into the business, but it was clear watching her on set that Suzy enjoyed her job and was good at it. When Suzy had asked about a new contract at the after party Megan had promptly produced one with ridiculous obligations that was intended as a starting point for negotiation, but had been shocked when Suzy signed it without protest and celebrated. She figured that she would rethink things once she sobered up so she was ready for her.
Megan planned to offer to allow Suzy to buy into the company. Really the company needed an infusion of cash if they were to stay in business. The boxoffice returns on Suzy's last two movies was in fact the only reason that they hadn't filed for bankruptcy.
She planned to use the threat of selling Suzy's contract to another company if they went under as one of her selling points. The plan was for Suzy to buy into the company. She was hoping for 60 million dollars, from what she'd researched about Fantastic Enterprises Sue should be able to afford it. Though the question was if she could skim that much money without her family finding out and also the IRS.
With the $60 million, Suzy would own 40% of the company. She would probably demand some control over the companies finances. That was fine with Megan, part of the reason that they were doing so badly wasn't because they weren't putting out product, but because the last CFO had been caught embezzeling from the company. Of course if the embezzeling hadn't been enough the audit had shown numerous instances where money could have been saved. The jackass had not only been crooked but also incompetant at the job. Megan would love to have someone who ran a company like FE to be her CFO. If Suzy wanted more control she would generously 'allow' her to take over the finances. She'd even allow her to make some decisions about production, like hiring that woman she left the party with last night.
Of course even with buying in Suzy would still be required to make 5 movies a year, various photo shoots, and make public appearances. Megan wasn't going to let the golden goose fly away just yet.
