The heroine moaned as she felt someone poking her. "Five more minutes Mom..."
"Uhh! Uhh!", came a grunting reply.
**That's weird...Mom doesn't do caveman grunts!**, Jen thought before she came to full wakefulness and saw an ugly green face looming over her. "AHHHH!!!! GET AWAY FROM ME!" She flailed her arms to shoo him away.
The beastial green clone scurried back from her. Blinking her eyes to clear them, she saw a group of 4 of the Leader's clones huddled together staring at her. "Great. My own fan club," she smirked, rolling her eyes. "Just...stay back, okay?"
They seemed to take her warning to heart...they were probably bred for docility and submissiveness so as long as she was smarter and louder they'd probably do whatever she could get them to understand. "Well boys, lets go explore then. We need to find food and water...with our metabolisms we'll need a lot of it."
She spent the rest of the day ascending to the top of the small peak in the middle of the island. Along the way they passed through a grove of fruit trees...she didn't recognize the species but they seemed plentiful. They scared away a couple of wild pigs who'd been chewing on the fruit so it likely wasn't poisonous. And it smelled...musky...but rather pleasant. Improvising a basket from some of the palms around, she gathered a batch for them to eat later on.
Once they reached the top, her heart sank a bit...the island was fair sized but there were no signs of civilization on it...nor were there any other islands nearby that seemed to be inhabited. Shoulders slumping, she felt the day's climb taking her toll so decided to just call it a day. A stream was gushing nearby so they all drank from it as she passed out the fruits.
Strange....she was SO tired...she lay back against and fell asleep almost instantly....
