“I am just going to throw this out there,” Raven said, “Let’s you and me screw Dick!”
“Wow, you are going out of your mind aren’t you,” Dick dropped his shrieken, “A one night stand with Helena nearly got me cut off for good. Sleeping with you behind Barbara’s back? She might be in a wheel chair but she would hunt us down and kill us!”
Raven put on a pouty face, the sex would have made the infection run faster, but any contact would cause Dick to pick up the fetish curse. There was a long pause.
“Tell you what,” Dick said, “I got an ice breaker job. It will bring you back up to speed without putting you in any danger Bruce would freak out about. Not to mention you can still do that day job of yours while you are still at it and it’s something I know you are qualified for.”
“What is it?” Raven made sure her towel wasn’t about to fall off after Dick’s rebuff.
“We need to keep two Mutants quite in a safe house,” Dick said, “You remember Shadow Cat? No wait…”
“Shadow Cat?” Raven started.
“Katherine Pryde,” Dick said, “She used to be called Sprite back during our Titan days. The Mutant that can walk throw walls. Any rate she has two girls that hit the radars in a very bad way that need to hide so we are putting them up in the safe house on seventy third street. You just make sure they have food and keep out of sight. You even get a black card to pay for everything. How does that sound?”
“Baby sit kids?” Raven rolled her eyes.
“The Squirrel is at least eighteen and the badger is seventeen I think,” Dick tried to put a positive spin on it.
“Ok,” Raven tried to sound reluctant, “I’ll do this for you.”
Raven went back to her bedroom and her mind went into planning mode, young adult females, able to be infected and toned up. Katherine Pryde and Dick would also be forced by custom and curtesy to shake hands and hug. Raven grabbed a set of black leather pants, black velvet button shirt, jacket and shoes. She didn’t even bother with underwear.
