"Before we go giving a whole new meaning to 'Avengers Assemble'," Peter suggested, gently kissing his wife's lips as he spoke, "I need to call Aunt May."
"Good idea, Tiger," MJ replied. As they disengaged their hug, Peter reached for the phone and dialed a familiar number.
After a few ring tones, a familiar motherly voice greeted him; "May Parker residence."
"Aunt May," Peter responded. "I heard you were released from the hospital. You doing okay?"
"Never better, Peter," she answered brightly. "Perhaps the two of you can join me for dinner tonight?"
"Don't see why not." Cupping the phone mouthpiece, Peter called out to MJ as she had turned on the television. "MJ, you up for dinner at Aunt May's?"
"Wouldn't miss it," MJ smiled. Peter turned back to the phone. "We'll be there, Aunt May."
"Splendid. See you tonight."
"Love ya, Aunt May."
"I love you too, dear."
Once the line disconnected, Peter turned his attention to his lovely wife. "What's up, babe?"
"Just checking the news, Tiger," she answered, gesturing to the screen with her remote. "I wanted to see if there were any clues about how the world's changed since our deal with Mistress Love. I think I found out how. That whole Super-Hero Registration Act that brought about this whole mess and nearly got May killed? Apparently Mistress Love eliminated it as a problem for us going forward. According to the reporter that was on..."
