"You don't mind if we help ourselves to a drink Herr Doktor?" asked Fausta as she made her way to a bottle of schnapps and some glasses in the corner of the room" "Please, help yourself." said the Doctor as he turned off the lights. Fausta poured two large glasses of schnapps, making a mental note of the empty glass containing a small amount of white powder. Once done she handed the spiked drink to Dina and sat next to her while the Doctor started the projector. "Cheers Dina" smiled Fausta as she raised her glass. "Cheers Colonel" replied Dina, as Fausta quickly sank the contents of her glass. Dina too sank the glass of schnapps, and looked at the screen in front of her. "The projector flickered to life and showed the Doctor somewhere in what looked like the African jungle. He addressed the camera " As some of you may know for the past few years I have scoured the Africa's in the hope of finding the mythic lariat of Sandraudiga the Norse Goddess whose name translates as 'she who dyes the sand red' in the blood of her enemies, no doubt" Dina caressed her temples as the screen started to seem alive. "It is rumoured" stated the Doctor on the screen "that she who holds the lariat of Sandraudiga will have been chosen by divine right to lead her people to victory and bestow upon the holder the power of the long lost Amazon warriors" The crystal tumbler slipped from Dina's hand splintering on the ground as she stared slack jawed at the screen. "She who possesses the lariat" continued the Doctor will fight for the Germanic cause and stop at nothing to see her people rule......." While the Doctor continued talking on screen, Fausta slowly removed the golden lasso from her purse and draped it over Dina who was now staring mindlessly at the screen in front of her. The Doctor nodded at Fausta and replaced the film reel in the projector with a new reel. Fausta ran her red nails down Dina's cheek as the power of the lasso cursed through her body. " You will embrace your life as Dina Prinz and absorb everything you are about to see" sneered Fausta. " When the film ends I will hand you your lasso and you will know what to do. Do you understand Dina?" "I.........I understand" slurred Dina. "This will all be over soon pretty one" replied Fausta as the Doctor started the projector up again. The screen burst into colour, an intense barrage of imagery bombarded the former heroine as the power of the lasso forced every image and word directly into her very soul........
