By the time Jan and Sue left Ralph's it was nearly 5:30 PM and the girls had spent over 4 fun filled hours with their manager. By the time they left, both women had done several lap dances for their manager and had demonstrated complete comfort with his touch anywhere on their bodies whether nude or clothed; dancing or not. In fact, between Jan's sexually adventurous nature as well as a very strong and healthy state of friendly competition between the ladies, it seemed that they both drank in the subliminals as quickly as they were provided. So much so that when Jan gave Ralph a fully nude lap dance and tried to rub her pussy in his face he actually stopped the performance to tell her "As much as I appreciate it, baby, never let the client get that close to the prize unless you are planning to work 'extras' for money.  Even a saint couldn't resist your pussy in his face!"   As intended, that only made the girls more interested in St. Ralph.

As the disguised heroine's entered the lobby of Jan's posh apartment complex, the giddy banter they enjoyed the whole way home quickly ebbed as they noticed the looks they got from tenants.  Sure, they expected leers from the men, but for the most part almost everyone there look at them with a mix of anger and disgust. It definitely a new experience to the A list heroines who were use to everyday citizens looking up to them with respect and awe.  When Jan spied the doorman scowling at them while he talked on the intercom, she dragged 'Suzanne' into the ladies room and rasped "Quick, turn us invisible. Turn us invisible!"

With a thought, Susan grabbed Jan's hand and complied, but that wasn't all she did.  In her years working with her abilities, the heroine had learned that if she extended an ultra low lever force field over her partner's body, she could sense the Wasp's movements.  As they ventured back out into the lobby, Sue whispered "What's going on here Jan?"

The Avenger growled in hushed tones "We got the blue bloods stirred up.  They think we're here for business and lets just say they didn't mistake us for CPA's. The pompous goats are worried that we'll bring the property value down." As they moved stealthily to the elevator she continued "We're going to have to figure a better way in and out of here or this little mission is going to go sour real fast. Let's just get to the apartment first.  We can come up with something brilliant later."

Soon the women were alone in an elevator heading up the tall building. Even as they sighed in relief, Sue kept them invisible just in case, but their relief was short lived.  As they got closer to Jan's floor they began to hear louder and louder music.  When the doors opened they were shocked at what they saw.  In the hallway were at least a dozen college kids drinking and carousing like a frat party.  Music blared and the deep techno beat made the very flooring vibrate.  All the Invisible woman could say was "What the hell?"

Jan hussled her friend further down the hall so they could talk without the kids hearing before she hissed "Shit, shit , shit... It's my niece, Ashley.  She goes to Empire U and visits from time to time.  She must have found the video I left for the maid staff and thought it was party time!"

Susan replied "OK, we need to sneak in there and get our stuff.  Without the laptop, Avenger cards, and the rest of our equipment, we're screwed!"

As they moved toward the open apartment door Jan replied "At least the den is security shielded.  They couldn't have gotten in there."

Even invisible, it took more than a little maneuvering for the heroines to avoid detection.  They weaved between dancing teens and  crept past amorous couples but after several minutes they finally arrived at the den door.  To their surprise a half dozen guys were trying to jimmy the lock.  As a particularly geeky kid worked the latch mechanism, a large jock growled "Come on, Nathan, get the fucking thing open already.  I bet there is some really cool hero shit we can get out of there."

Nathan quipped back "We tried your way Jay.  How's that shoulder doing anyway? Still hurting from ramming the damn door?"

Jan was furious but quickly positioned her self behind the fools as their attention was focused on the door. The heroine then roared "INTRUDERS DETECTED..." When the guys turned around all they saw was empty hall but Jan was not yet done. With an evil smile, the invisible heroine growled "TERMINATION APPROVED. REMOVING INTRUDERS... NOW!"  Suddenly the hallway lit up with the effect of her Wasp Stings as Jan hit Nathan and Jay squarely in the crotch with a powerful stun blast.  Young men screamed as the their comrades sunk to the floor, but as Jan started unleashing further shots to the remaining boys, they quickly gathered their fallen and retreated.

Jan quickly grabbed the doorknob and activated the bio-tech unlocking mechanism to let the heroines into the room.  As soon as both were inside, Sue released her invisbility field and started laughing, but Jan was in no mood.  The Winsome Wasp snarled "I'm gong to fucking kill that girl! She has no damned sense!"

Sue wiped tears from her eyes as she giggled "Look, Jan, we can't.  Not today.  It was a bad idea to stay here in the first place and our little adventure downstairs was enough to prove that.  Ashley has already caused too much trouble and this is going to make news soon.  We have to get what we need and get the hell out of here!"

Grudgingly, Jan agreed and started grabbing stuff as she answered "You're right; you're right." The Avenger grabbed the Laptop and Avenger cards and asked  "What else do we need?"

Sue pointed at the cabinet and replied "For starters we need that insect control device in there, and that Pym purse we put the Perception Filter in."

As she used the Pym Purse to shrink and contain the cabinet and other equipment she had gathered, Jan looked up at her friend and asked "Perception Filter?"

Sue continued "That booth we took from the Baxter building.  With that zero point module we took as well we should be able to use that equipment where every we end up living.  That brings up the next thing we need.  A place to live.  I left the money I earned last night here with my Avenger card.  What did you do with yours?"  Jan pulled a wad of cash out of another drawer in her desk and Sue quickly counted it "OK, this gives as a little over $2500. Lets get to your room and grab as much clothes and other things as we can."

Soon the girls were invisible again and out in the hall.  Not surprisingly, there wasn't a soul near the door after Jan's little trick, but the bedroom was another story.  It lied on the other side of the living room and there were plenty of kids there.  Slowly the cloaked heroines crept toward their target, but tonight was definitely not their night.  As a loud banging from the door drew their attention, the building manger and a half dozen of New York's finest glared from the entrance.  The biggest cop roared over the din "NOW HEAR ME!  THE PARTY IS OVER! DISPERSE OR BE ARRESTED!"

-----

Ralph drove down the busy Manhattan street while keeping an eye open for the alley between East 84th and 85th streets.  When he reached the meeting place he gave his horn three quick beeps and flashed his lights twice and immediately his contacts leapt from the shadows into his back seat.  Jan and Sue both thanked the man profusely as he turned and asked "Are you girls OK?"

Sue laughed "Other than being homeless with little more than the clothes on our backs, we're swell.  Thanks for everything Ralph.  You're a life saver!"

The Sue had called him a little over an hour before and explained what had happened at the apartment.  While Jan had skrunk down to ant size and spied on the building manager to see what was happening with her apartment, Sue and told the reporter everything. She now only told him the entire story, she also told him who Janice really was, the equipment they had, and any other information he wanted to know.  To test her out, he asked her the most personal questions about herself, her husband, and her brother which she replied to without reservation.  Her trust in him was now absolute!

As the now quite close friends traveled across the Brooklyn Bridge, Ralph explained "Well, I'm happy you got out of that place without being arrested.  It was tough on short notice, but I found a good place for you to live.  A friend of mine rents apartments on Yancy Street. I know it's not Manhattan, but on short notice and on a budget, it is a good place to live.  It's only a few blocks from where Mandy's and Trixx's apartments too.  Lots of strippers live around there so you won't be sticking out like you did at Janice's place either. It's only $1000 a month with first and last month up front.  You won't find a better furnished place for half that much... At least one that isn't rat infested."

Jan, who had always lived in more luxurious surrounding gasped "$2000 up front?  That is almost all our money.  How are we suppose to live?"

Ralph chuckled at the worried heroines "$500 isn't chump change girls. A lot of people live on less and it's not like you won't be making money soon at work.  For tonight I packed some hotel sample toiletries for you and a little Woolite.  I advise giving your clothes a quick hand wash tonight and let them dry next to the window over night.  In the morning Mandy and Trixx will be here to help you do some shopping.  Trust me, it will all work out."

Both women calmed down while they listened to their friend.  Even Jan seemed to be trusting him more and more deeply.  As they pulled up to the building, Sue stopped Jan and said "Look, 'Janice', we need to come clean with Ralph.  This place is too dangerous to risk losing our valuables."  Sue looked down the Pym hand purse that Jan carried before continuing "We are going to have to trust him with the bag and our secrets."

Jan wasn't as indoctrinated as Sue yet, but she trusted her friend's opinion enough to take the leap of faith. Jan smiled slyly as she held out her hand  and said "Hi, I'm Janet Van Dyne, the Winsome Wasp, but you can call me Jan, 'Janice', or 'her supreme hotness' if you like, hansom."
