Susan Storm Richards was the picture of the brave but rightfully concerned woman as Reed ran diagnostic after diagnostic and Dr. Strange rambled on with endless incantations. In fact, anyone who knew her would have expected no less of the heroine! Still, it was far more her talent as an actress that was being tested than her physical, psychological, or mystic wellbeing. While the scientist and the sorcerer each independently found repeated proof that Mephisto's hold on the heroine was broken and even the remnants of arcane energies was quickly dissipating, nothing could have been further from the truth.
Deep inside, Sue reveled in evil mirth as she enjoyed how easily she misled the people around her. These fools were looking for someone that no longer existed. When her master first filled her with his Dark Seed, something wondrous had happened. In that moment of sublime bliss, Susan gave in to her dark desires. She not only stopped fighting, she embraced her new existence and in that moment she became as much a succubus as any that had ever existed in body, mind, and soul. She was now a demon whore of great power but that was not the best part. The Dark Seed also increased her cosmic born powers in ways she never imagined before. She could hide her true demonic nature from even the greatest scientists and mystics to any degree she chose. With focus she could extend this ability to far greater volumes and be able to fool demons as well... Maybe even Hell Lords! Yes, she took great pride in her value to her beloved master now!
Where the mystic extension of her previous abilities were easy for the former heroine to grasp, her new demonic ones were taking more time to adjust to. Her demonic sight was a delightful new ability. Besides the extra sharpness and vastly improved range of visible wavelengths, she could also see mystic spells as they formed and the emotions of those around her. She could see confidence building in Reed and Strange as their best efforts confirmed the heroine's recovery. She could see Ben's concern for her and for Johnny. Best of all, she could see Johnny's burning lust for her and Lustae fanning those flames to unbearable heights.
From the far side of the lab, HERBI entered with urgency and reported "Dr. Richards, all tests confirm Mrs. Richards recovery. I highly advise that we return to the more pressing matter of dealing with the SHIED and Avenger's forces effectively blockading the Baxter Building."
Reed Richards turned to his robotic assistant and snarled "Don't you DARE tell me what's important where my wife is concerned. I will judge what is more pressing! Do you understand?"
Sue looked at her husband in mock horror which was not lost on the others in the room. Stephan placed a kind hand on Mr. Fantastic's shoulder and calmly replied "Reed, Every test confirms that Sue is free of Mephisto's influence. No one is saying abandon Sue. We are simply saying that the longer we wait to deal with authorities the worse it will be."
Sue rose off the examining table and added her voice to the debate "Reed, I'm OK. I think I can help things out if I can talk to some of our friends in the Avengers. I think you might do well to get some sleep now and trust me. You rescued me, my love. It's time you let me do the same for your reputation."
Prompted by his demon on his shoulder, Johnny interjected "Yeah, Janet's support would go a long way to help and Shulky would be a huge asset too with her legal background and SHIELD connections. And... there is another former Avenger that would be awesome... Hellcat. No one in the hero community has more experience with Hell Lords and she could really help to get the truth out there.
Reed didn't like that answer, but coming from Sue, he could not say no. Stephan led the scientist to his room and gave him a tranquilizer before taking his own leave.

Although they were in civilian attire, it was Chameleon who chauffeured the now infamous stripper and pornstar while Shocker and Electro flanked the gorgeous redhead. As they approached the front door, reporters yelled questions about Peter and the attack on Kingpin's island stronghold, but her escorts simply yelled back "If ya want an interview, call Fisk Enterprises and schedule one!" However one reporter managed a question that stopped the trio just as they reached the door "Hey MJ, what happened to your porno costar? Where is Susan Richards?"
MJ turned seductively and replied "Well, baby, she has the night off, but I'm sure she'll honor her commitments to Fisk Enterprises. After all, it's kind of traumatic when you find the father of your children is a wacko terrorist. Wilson is being very understanding of our friend's duty as a mother but I'm sure she'll be back here soon enough!"

Damion Hellstrom sat calmly on his hell throne and looked through his scrying pool. Mephisto knew that Hellstrom was most vulnerable though his ex-wife Patsy Walker, AKA Hellcat. How many times in the past did Damion use his power to try to reconcile and how many times has Mephisto taken the poor woman? Truth be told, he lost count long before he lost interest. As it was, the Hellstrom had long since abandoned his human feelings and embraced his status as a Hell Lord. In any case, before he gave up trying to reunite with the heroine he had imbued her with some surprises for any Hell Lord that might try to claim her. Oh, the Seed of Sin and other toys of Mephisto would work on the woman, but her descent into evil would be far slower than MJ's or Susan's and there would be consequences for Mephisto that he would never see coming. No, this was a game of power and whoever collected the most souls would win!
