One of the latex clad women seated Selina in the carriage and then took a seat with her inside.
“Too the Palace!” the woman shouted out the window and then leaned back and addressed Selina, “Your Majesty, we have been waiting for your arrival since the birth of this world! For your birth heralded this world’s creation and your life created this world for us!”
“So what?” Selina said.
“The events of your life have been reflected by the events in this world. Your high points,” the woman said, “Your lows were seen as bad times here, your times of turmoil were times of conflict here.”
“So I am the god of this world?” Selina asked.
“After a fashion,” the woman said, “That is the Goddess as she is seen here.”
Outside the carriage passed by a jade statue of a furry version of Catwoman. Honestly it looked like some of the internet fan art out there.
“Catwoman is your goddess?” Selina said, “You do know I am Catwoman right?”
“Yes your majesty,” The woman said, “You are Catwoman, but that is the Cat-Goddess, who gives us guidance and we worship.”
“So what is her counter?” Selina smirked.
“Him who binds us!” the woman pointed to a painted panel behind Selina.
Selina looked at the painting in the back of the carriage. There was a furry version of Batman, of course the one she loved and hated for the same reasons would be the counter to her feline and felony impulses.
