Dr Psycho was no fool, he knew Wonder Girl was smart despite her youth. As a result, he carefully planted a trap. With his powers he created a fake newscast of Wonder Girl's mother, Helena Sandsmark, being kidnapped and held for ransom, and the kidnappers demand Wonder Girl come alone. Then Psycho retreated to the building and hid himself mentally, creating illusions of a group of masked men and Wonder Girl's mother tied to a chair. Soon, Wonder Girl crashed through a window. Psycho smiled to himself. Had this been "real" the young fool would have probably just had her mother killed. Invisibly, he snuck up towards the young crimefighter, hoping her could catch her before she realized the hostage situation was only a mirage.
