"I want you to bust me out of here, then" Stinger grinned at Cat's Shadow. "If you can't get me the Melder, get me back to the Scarlet Claw."
"And who is that?" Cat asked with disinterest.
"My boss. The one who made me, and indirectly made all of you." Stinger shrugged.
"Ah, so you are nothing but a minion. That makes sense" Cat said, regarding Stinger.
"...what the fuck is that supposed to mean?" Stinger growled.
"Merely that one of as low intellect as yourself who is ruled by her impulses could never be a leader." the ninja shrugged.
"You little bitch!" Stinger growled. "I had the melder first, you know! I got it from Kang! Me! I created the Scarlet Claw!"
"Don't make me smile" Cat's Shadow shrugged. "You don't even know how the ray works. You don't even know if it could restore someone into what they were."
"Of course I fucking do! And I never even told the Claw about it, or anyone! You have to first set it to the proper fusion or fission setting, then set the other switch to 'restore' bef-" Stinger broke off, realizing what she'd just said.
"Thank you" Cat's Shadow bowed and vanished back up the ventilation.
"Wait! What about our deal?" Stinger shouted.
As she crawled back up the vent, Cat's Shadow allowed herself a slight smile. She had NO intention of restoring herself, of course. And she wasn't about to go about curing all the others. But in her practical mind she had long since decided that some fusions
and fissions resulted in much too dangerous individuals, ones that would be better off removed. And only she had the emotional detachment to do so. But first, she had to reclaim the melder...

"Oh oh oh!" Lunacat yelped and purred as she and the other members of Claw's team writhed in ecstasy on the shower floor.
Her ability to alter emotions kept pushing them towards "horny" instead of accomplishing things, and if she could think straight the Claw would realize that it was constantly putting a crimp in her plans. What Carol did know was that she didn't have Spidey
here to pleasure her, and it was enough to make her thrust her strap-on even harder into Governess.
"Yes. Yes, take it Spider! Take one from mommy!" she grunted.
The Claw's plans were temporarily on ice, and she wondered if it may have been a mistake to keep Lunacat around. The horniness kept her away from Spider!

Meanwhile, in the main Four Freedom's Plaza lab, the melder was being studied by the top superhero scientists. Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Henry Pym, Hank McCoy and others were scrutinizing the thing heavily.
"All I can conclude is that it's not a product of our time and place" Reed mused.
"So it's either extraterrestrial, extratemporal or from an alternate dimension" Beast nodded.
"But who created it, why is it here..." Pym wondered.
