She desired the power immensely. She wanted to run away, and go warn the others of that had happened to Ami and Usagi. But she couldn't. Even just that brief moment with the dark power was to much for her to resist the corruption of it.
"I.....I....I WANT TO BECOME DARK MARS!" She said on her knees looking up at her two former friends, that had already been turned evil by the power. She wanted to join them. She wanted to have that power.
Just as she had done for Usagi, Ami forms a dark fabric that surrounds Rei in a cocoon. Though the length of time it takes to convert usually took, longer depending on their potential power, the desire for power, that small exposure to the darkness had given
her, sped up the rate of conversion to the unresisting senshi.
Dark Mercury grinned, as she knew that Rei would have easily been one of the toughest, if not the toughest to convert. But luckily, she thought of giving Rei a small exposure to the darkness, so it's corrupting nature would make her desire it. If it had not
been for this, she might not have been able to convert Rei, at all, and might of had to kill her. Ami was glad it did not have to come to that, or else her master would have lost such a powerful potential handmaiden.
After only an hour the cacoon surrounding Mars burst into flames. In the middle of the flames, slowly standing up, was the new evil Dark Mercury. Her fire abilites could be used as wreaklessly as she wanted without any harm to herself, or her fellow handmaidens.
She walked over and stood infront of Dark Moon and Dark Mercury. She now wore a dress similar to theirs, but was colored a deep fiery red, and the broach had her symbol on it.
"YESSSS! THIS POWER!" said Dark Mars. "I LOVE IT!"
"Excellent to have you along side us Dark Mars." Dark Moon said with wicked glee.
"I am glad I have been chosen to serve master, as one of his handmaidens." the corrupted Rei said.
